    Cathleen Buchanan, MA, PA

Biography

Cathleen Buchanan has a proven executive and management track record and over twenty-five years of experience developing sales and growth in the healthcare market. Prior to joining the team at The Graduate Institute, Cathleen was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for National Healthcare Associates, a network of 26 facilities with approximately five thousand beds throughout four Northeastern States. Previously she served as Executive Director of New Business Development for New England Home Care, a $100 million company that offers homecare services throughout Connecticut. Cathleen also served as President of Professional Relief Nurses and Staffing Company where she stabilized the company and managed a successful turnaround. The evolution of her career began in hands-on care as a physician's assistant and moved into management as the continuum of care began to move the patient out of the hospital into the post-acute market.

Cathleen has spent her entire career in Western medicine, deeply committed to providing care for patients, advocating for both patients and the staff from the executive suite.

As Alum of The Graduate Institute she now looks to honor what has been accomplished by the visionary founder some twenty years ago and lead the team into its next chapter of development and the ever evolving need for a holistic approach to health.

Long before the rise of Western medicine, compassionate leaders devoted their lives for whole body wellness and Cathleen embodies that philosophy. Her leadership and fierce dedication to the importance of intention, attitudes and beliefs is inspirational and needed in today’s world.

Cathleen is a Board Certified Physician’s Assistant, graduating Cum Laude from the Medical College of Georgia and holds a Master of Arts Degree in Integrative Health and Healing from The Graduate Institute.


    Judith Hackman, PhD

Biography

Judith Dozier Hackman received her PhD in Higher Education Research and Administration (Psychology cognate, Best Dissertation award) from the University of Michigan, her M.S. in Educational Research (Outstanding Alumnus award) from Southern Connecticut State University, and her B.A. with honors in Liberal Arts and Sciences, major in Social Studies, and minor in Mathematics from the University of Illinois. She also studied at Harvard University, MacMurray College, and Yale University and received a Certificate in Coaching from Columbia Teachers College. Judith had a 44-year career at Yale University serving as Associate Dean of Yale College for Administration and for Assessment, as Director of the Yale Graduate School Teaching Fellow Program, as Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, as Director of Institutional Research, and as NEASC Liaison Officer. She also taught high school history. Judith has served as Chair of several boards (Association for the Study of Higher Education, North East Association for Institutional Research, Greater New Haven Community Loan Fund, Church of Christ in Yale), as Vice Chair (MacMurray College, United Way of Greater New Haven), and as a Board Director.


  Charles H. Silverstein, PhD

Biography

Charles H. Silverstein is dedicated to pursuing his deep interest in personal transformation, alternative healing, and the relationship between science and spirituality. He holds an MA degree in Conscious Evolution from The Graduate Institute, and a PhD in Transformative Studies from the California Institute of Integral Studies. His research interests included higher stages of adult development, transformative practices, spiritual development and personal growth with an emphasis on meditative practices and somatic awareness. He had a 20-year career as an investment analyst and portfolio manager for a large institutional investment company, and was an educator in the fields of science and mathematics.

Susan Wigler, MA

Biography
Susan Wigler is committed to supporting a better understanding of the world we live in, its human and human-earth community. She holds an MA degree from The Graduate Institute in Conscious Evolution, and joined the staff of The Graduate Institute in March of 2016. Susan has more than 30 years of experience directing the Conferences and Summer Programs Office at Yale University. As a fellow of Timothy Dwight College at Yale, she oversees a prestigious lecture fellowship that honors those who have made a significant world contribution to public service. She brings her knowledge and skills in organization, marketing, sales and client services, as well as her passion for the power of the The Graduate Institute's learning environment to her role in Admissions and Recruiting.
   

Susan Strickland, MA

Biography

Susan Moore Strickland, MA, is a former student of the Integrative Health and Healing Master of Arts Degree program at The Graduate Institute. Susan has more than 30 years’ experience in marketing and television production, fundraising and event management, and she is the former Publisher of M.D. News Magazine. In addition, Susan’s experience includes an Internship at Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital as an Art Leader in the Arts for Healing Program, and, leading art workshops for Hartford Hospital. Susan is deeply committed to guiding students to become more aware, inspired and empowered people; to be more self-sufficient in healing themselves, and in healing others.
