The Weed Economy

What are the "weeds" in your life? What parts of you keep insisting on sprouting up even though you have labeled them as unwanted, undesirable, and a nuisance? These are a source of value, if you're willing to transform your relationship to them.

We are now accepting applications for the next cohort of TGI's Leadership Master of Arts program. Schedule an appointment with one of our faculty members to discuss how you can transform your personal and professional weeds into meaningful sources of value.

TGI Hosts Natural Networking Breakfast on July 10

Featuring a Presentation on
Leading from Within: An Exploration of Leadership and its Unlimited Possibilities
With Dr. Andrew Summa

Tuesday, July 10, 8:00 - 10:00 am
The Graduate Institute
171 Amity Road, Bethany, CT 06524

Offered in collaboration with Natural Awakenings Magazine, New Haven.

Leaders are traditionally assumed to be those with positional authority. And often, leadership is mistaken as an inherited trait. In other words, certain people are "born leaders" while others simply don't have what it takes. This kind of thinking is misdirected and destroys the potential for authentic leadership to arise. Dr. Summa will explore how leadership today requires more organic interactions grounded in mutual trust and respect. This type of leadership manifests as a creative, dynamic expression of an individual's evolving self.

"Leading from within" is not constrained by position. Rather, it empowers leaders and aspiring leaders to draw their strength from context, and from their ability to perceive possibilities that others may not know exist.   This discussion will address the true potential for leadership and its unlimited possibilities. Here, anyone who commits to their own capacity for leadership will discover their innate ability to become a bold and innovative proponent of positive change in organizations.
