1. About the Service

learn.edu is a career-exploration and program-matching tool that uses survey responses to suggest career paths and academic programs. The platform is operated in partnership with VantagePoint, a third-party technology provider.

Career match results and guidance provided through the site – including responses from the Via AI advisor – are informational only and do not constitute professional career counseling, academic advising, or any guarantee of employment or admission outcomes. You should consult with a qualified career counselor, academic advisor, or other qualified advisor before making any decisions based on this information.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use learn.edu. By using this site, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use learn.edu only for its intended purpose and in compliance with applicable law. You may not:

• Use the site to transmit spam, malware, or harmful code
• Attempt to access, scrape, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform
• Misrepresent your identity or provide false information in the surveys

learn.edu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. Salem University and VantagePoint make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any career match results, program information, or AI advisor responses. Your use of the platform and reliance on any information provided is at your own risk.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Salem University and its technology partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of learn.edu, including but not limited to reliance on career match results or AI advisor guidance, even if Salem University has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

7. Third-Party Technology

The learn.edu platform is powered in part by VantagePoint. Salem University is not responsible for errors, outages, or data handling practices that are solely within VantagePoint's control. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and any terms presented within VantagePoint's platform components, these Terms govern your relationship with Salem University.

8. Modifications to the Service

Salem University reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue learn.edu at any time without notice. We are not liable to you for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from your use of learn.edu shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in West Virginia.
